Geez, where to start on this one? I remember finding this piece like it was yesterday. My husband and I drove for about an hour through the wilderness of Maryland to find the village where the person selling this piece was located. Riddled with “No Trespassing” signs and unknown wildlife, I’d be lying to you if I said there wasn’t a point during this 5-mile drive up the mountain where I actually considered turning back, mostly because cell phone service was nowhere to be found. Nevertheless, we arrived at the most out-of-place house we’ve ever seen, and we were greeted by maybe the nicest old couple you’d ever want to meet. After packing this piece in the car and driving back, I remember thinking… this piece taught me something… to never make a mountain out of a mole hill… or the Slovak version (and this is true)…. “never make a donkey out of a mosquito”.
This piece is a white-washed end/table nightstand. The drawer is complete with an aftermarket handle sporting a matte black finish. The color I used for the body is known as “Starless Night”, which I imagine that the mountaintop village we visited sees very little of!
